
TORONTO – CTV will air the live television production of Grease, a modern take on the hit musical and 1978 feature film adaptation that will introduce a new generation to the show’s timeless love story and hit music.
Grease: Live will air on January 31 at 7:00 PM ET/PT and then join CraveTV’s lineup on February 19 in the streaming service’s music collection.
A Paramount Television production, the first-ever live television production stars Julianne Hough as the angelic Sandy – Rydell High’s most talked-about newcomer; Aaron Tveit as bad boy Danny Zuko; Vanessa Hudgens as iconic bad girl Rizzo; Keke Palmer as sassy Pink Lady Marty Maraschino; Carlos PenaVega as Kenickie, Danny’s tough-guy sidekick; Canadian Grammy Award-nominated singer and songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen as Pink Lady and beauty school dropout Frenchy; Kether Donohue as Pink Lady Jan; David Del Rio as T-Bird Putzie; Jordan Fisher as Doody; and Andrew Call as Sonny.
The event also features cameo appearances by pop superstar Joe Jonas and his band DNCE, actor and television host Mario Lopez, and Grammy Award-winning R&B group Boyz II Men. English singer-songwriter Jessie J will give a live performance of the program’s title track, “Grease (Is The Word)” and Carly Rae Jepsen will also perform an original song entitled “All I Need Is An Angel”.
