
Bell Media’s CTV announced last week the premiere dates for its fall 2024 programming lineup, which includes several new series, CTV Originals and returning hits.
Some of the new U.S. series CTV has picked up for this season include the ABC shows High Potential (premiering Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 10 p.m. ET/PT), an unconventional crime drama written by Drew Goddard (The Good Place) and starring Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), and Doctor Odyssey (debuting Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT), a procedural drama led by Joshua Jackson (Dawson’s Creek, Fringe) with Don Johnson (Miami Vice, Nash Bridges) from creator Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story).
Other new series premiering on CTV this fall include Fox’s Hawaii lifeguard drama Rescue: HI-Surf, (starting with a two-episode debut on Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET/PT), Australia/New Zealand unscripted competition series The Summit (Oct. 2 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT), CBS’s Young Sheldon spinoff series Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage (Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT), and NBC’s Reba McEntire-led sitcom Happy’s Place (Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT) and workplace mockumentary St. Denis Medical (beginning with a two-episode premiere on Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. ET/PT).
CTV Originals on the channel’s fall schedule include the second season of Canadian series The Traitors Canada (beginning Sept. 23 at 10 p.m. ET/PT), the new series Mark McKinney Needs a Hobby (Oct. 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT), and season four of the hit Canadian comedy Children Ruin Everything (Oct. 17 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT).
Additional series returning to CTV for new seasons are Etalk (Sept. 3), 9-1-1: Lone Star (Sept. 23), The Voice (Sept. 23), The Masked Singer (Sept. 25), Grey’s Anatomy (Sept. 26), Tracker (Oct. 14), Shark Tank (Oct. 18), Blue Bloods (Oct. 18) and Night Court (Nov. 19).
In addition to airing on CTV, all of the aforementioned series will be available on the network’s ad-supported video-on-demand platform CTV.ca and the CTV app.
Furthermore, the following series will stream next day on Crave: Rescue: HI-Surf, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, St. Denis Medical, The Summit, Happy’s Place, The Masked Singer, The Voice, Mark McKinney Needs a Hobby, The Traitors Canada, and Children Ruin Everything.
CTV also announced it will be the Canadian home of the 76th Emmy Awards (Sept. 15 on CTV2), the CMA Awards (Nov. 13), and the 97th Oscars (March 2, 2025), in addition to airing the Canadian Country Music Awards live from Edmonton (Sept. 14).
In addition, Bell Media announced CTV and CTV2 are teaming up with TSN to deliver extensive coverage of the NFL regular season (beginning Thursday, Sept. 5), exclusive Saturday afternoon CFL matchups (starting Sept. 7 at 3 p.m. ET), and NFL and CFL playoffs and championships, culminating with the 111th Grey Cup (Nov. 17) and Super Bowl LIX (Feb. 9, 2025).
