TORONTO – CTV is going all-out to promote its broadcast next month of the 2008 Juno Awards in Calgary.
The CTV Creative Agency has created a multi-platform campaign involving on-air, radio, outdoor and online promotions that began on-air last week and will run through April 6.
The on-air campaign, featuring a futuristic Badlands environment to reflect Alberta’s rugged landscape, highlights Awards show host Russell Peters and numerous Juno performers and nominees, including Anne Murray (with Jann Arden & Sarah Brightman), Avril Lavigne, Feist, Finger Eleven, Hedley, Jully Black and Michael Bublé.
The Awards will be broadcast live from Calgary’s Pengrowth Saddledome on Sunday, April 6 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV and select CHUM Radio stations.
The outdoor campaign in Calgary includes billboards and posters, while radio spots have begun in Calgary and Toronto. An online campaign will begin next week across CTV’s websites and on external sites. CTV has been broadcasting the Junos since 2002.
