CTV pulls out all the stops for Oscar


TORONTO – CTV will once again roll out the red carpet for its coverage of the 81st annual Academy Awards this Sunday.

The network’s “multi-platform, multi-channel coverage” will add up to more than 14 hours of programming and related Oscar coverage on the CTV main network, ‘A’ channels, CTV Newsnet, CP24, Star!, Fashion Television, MTV and Much Music.

"From ETALK on the red carpet to our online contest sending a winner to next year’s festivities, CTV is the home of the Oscars in Canada," said Susanne Boyce, president of creative, content and channels, in the press release. "The Academy Awards are the biggest entertainment event of the year and CTV is proud to offer Canadians a bird’s eye view, from every angle possible, with complete coverage on conventional, specialty, and online."
