VANCOUVER – CTV News Vancouver has unveiled the final phase of its major refresh of its locally focused newscasts with a slate of new talent.

Effective immediately, Mi-Jung Lee and Scott Roberts (pictured) are the new co-anchor team for CTV News At Six; Scott Hurst becomes lead anchor for CTV News At Noon and CTV News At Five; Michele Brunoro becomes senior reporter and Friday anchor of CTV News At Noon and CTV News At Five; and Nafeesa Karim assumes a unique anchor and co-producer role for weekend editions of CTV News At Six and CTV News At 11:30.

The moves are part of the station’s plan to “modernize” its newscast with updates including new set designs, updated on-set technology, and new digital products.

“We’re very excited to complete this new, forward-thinking approach to our daily local newscasts by introducing new broadcast elements, expanding our digital products, and now announcing this talented group of anchors and reporters,” said CTV News Vancouver news director Les Staff, in Thursday’s announcement.  “With this strong team now in place, we look forward to furthering our commitment to delivering the most trusted, up-to-the-minute breaking news that Vancouverites rely on.”
