TORONTO — CTV Life Channel is starting a month-long, nationwide free preview on Tuesday, June 2, which will feature a new Tuesday-night lineup of wedding series and Saturday wedding-themed movie marathons.
Running until July 9, the CTV Life Channel freeview will also see the series debut of Double Your Dish on Monday, June 29 at 8:30 p.m. ET. Hosted by real-life couple Chef Rodney Bowers and radio and TV personality Meredith Shaw (pictured in centre), the eight-episode, self-shot cooking series helps viewers make the most out of their meals by transforming one base recipe into two totally different dishes.
“We’re thrilled to have the uniquely relevant and charming Double Your Dish alongside some of the finest lifestyle programming during CTV Life’s nationwide freeview,” said Pat DiVittorio, vice-president of programming for CTV and specialty, at Bell Media, in the news release. “From Where To I Do? to Bridezillas, CTV Life provides the escape Canadians are looking for by bringing viewers a virtual wedding season.”
The search for the perfect wedding venue continues with season three of Where To I Do? (the show’s host, Tommy Smythe, is pictured on left), with episodes airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET, starting June 9. Also on June 9, Bridezillas (pictured on right) will make its Canadian debut. CTV Life will run four hours of Bridezillas (seasons 9 to 12) each Tuesday at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET and 10 p.m. ET. In addition, Jessica Mulroney’s I Do, Redo series for CTV will premiere on CTV Life Channel on Tuesday, June 9 at 9:30 p.m. ET.
CTV Life’s wedding movie marathons on Saturdays (beginning June 6) will include Bridesmaids, My Best Friend’s Wedding, Wedding Crashers, Four Weddings and a Funeral and The Wedding Singer.
CTV Life’s freeview is available through participating television service providers across the country, including Bell, Bell Aliant, BellMTS, Cogeco, Eastlink, Rogers, SaskTel, Shaw and participating members of the CCSA.
