TORONTO – An all-encompassing on-line news web site, customized to meet the growing news needs of viewers in the Greater Toronto Area market, CTV today launched www.toronto.ctv.ca.
“The site is an on-line extension of CTV News, Toronto’s No. 1 newscast, and features daily top stories (available in streaming video), instant updates and news features including local traffic and weather – all available 24/7,” reads the press release.
Beginning immediately, viewers can visit www.toronto.ctv.ca to watch the top stories featured during the local CTV News newscasts at 12 Noon, 6 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., and for instant updates on those stories between newscasts. The web site features up-to-the-minute local weather, including radar looks, and area traffic with pictures from more than 100 cameras across the region. Users will have the opportunity to submit news tips or story ideas easily via the site, and visit the community events calendar.
