CTV drops the mic on new music series, international TV format

TORONTO  – CTV has unveiled a new international television format that promises viewers an authentic behind-the-scenes look at the creation of a series of hit songs.Announced Thursday from Canadian Music Week in Toronto, the six-part original music television series, known as The Launch, follows a group of unsigned musicians who are mentored in the creation of a new original song by a panel of internationally renowned hit makers.The Launch will premiere in 2018 and production is set to begin this summer in Toronto.  CTV said that casting for the series is open now through May 10 (details are available here) and that the...
