TORONTO - CTV has ordered the production of a new Canadian police drama called The Bridge, the company announced today. Following last summer’s pilot, the release says that the series will be based on the insights of veteran insider and outspoken former Toronto police union head Craig Bromell (who will also serve as one of the executive producers), and will be an “unflinching look at the struggle street cops face as they not only battle criminals – but also their own bosses – in order to protect society and, ultimately, themselves,” reads the release.
