CTV Comedy adds new female-led series

TORONTO — CTV Comedy Channel announced today its spring lineup includes the premieres of two new female-led series, Chad and Doing the Most with Phoebe Robinson, as well a reboot of the game show Wipeout.

Beginning Tuesday, April 6 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, Chad (8 episodes x 30 minutes) stars 39-year-old actress Nasim Pedrad (Saturday Night Live) as Ferydoon “Chad” Amani, a 14-year-old Persian boy struggling to fit in at school. Pedrad also serves as creator, writer, executive producer and showrunner of the “cringe comedy” series.

Offering a twist on the late-night talk show format, Doing the Most with Phoebe Robinson (10 x 30 min) debuts on Friday, April 9 with back-to-back episodes at 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. The interview-style series stars and is executive produced by Robinson, a stand-up comedian, best-selling author, actress and “dope queen”.

The brand-new reboot of the extreme obstacle course series Wipeout is hosted by John Cena (Fast & Furious) and Nicole Byer (Nailed It!) and features new extreme twists to push contestants’ athleticism, endurance and determination as they fight to win the grand cash prize. The series airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT starting April 15.

In addition to airing on CTV Comedy Channel, all three series are also available on the all-new CTV.ca and CTV app.
