TORONTO – CTV unleashed its promotional campaign on Tuesday to support the re-launch of its morning news show Canada AM, which has been lengthened and now includes an anchor team in Western Canada.
The “More in the Your Morning” campaign promotes the addition to the show of more live local and national news in every Canadian market beginning on January 28.
The campaign includes several 15 and 30-second on-air promos featuring Canada AM’s hosts (Beverly Thomson and Seamus O’Regan along with new Western anchor Mi-Jung Lee and weather anchor Rena Heer) explaining how Canada AM will deliver “more in your morning” that will be broadcast on the CTV conventional network and on its specialty channels. It also includes radio, outdoor and print components, particularly in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. As well, customized Canada AM online advertising will be featured on CTV.ca and on The CTV Broadband Network.
“We really wanted to spotlight the charisma, charm and professionalism of our Canada AM team in this campaign,” said Rick Lewchuk, senior vice-president, of CTV Creative Agency and Brand Strategy. “Our goal is to let viewers know that there will now be more of the Canada AM they know and love – including more of the news and local issues that matter to them the most.”
Canada AM has been on the air since 1972.
