VANCOUVER – CTV British Columbia has boosted its local news coverage with the addition of new morning and lunch programs plus new anchors.
Beginning October 31, viewers can catch the new newscast CTV NEWS AT NOON airing weekdays at 12 noon, while the station’s 5 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. news teams will also change. Two weeks later, on November 14, CTV MORNING LIVE will begin airing weekdays from 5:30 – 9 a.m.
CTV NEWS AT NOON will be anchored by Keri Adams, who moves from her role at 11:30. Additionally, Rob Brown will join Adams to co-host CTV NEWS AT FIVE, while Coleen Christie takes the reins of CTV NEWS AT 11:30.
Aamer Haleem returns to morning television in Vancouver as the co-host of CTV MORNING LIVE alongside Norma Reid, while Marke Driesschen will deliver the weather and Ann Luu will provide traffic updates.
“Viewers can expect an exciting new wakeup call with CTV MORNING LIVE,” said station news director Margo Harper, in the announcement. “It takes a special chemistry to get the morning show formula right, and we have assembled a team that has the kind of energy that jumps off the screen, engaging viewers each morning with all the breaking news, weather and traffic they need to start the day.”
