CTV announces fall programming lineup


TORONTO – Bell Media’s CTV on Wednesday announced premiere dates for its fall 2023 primetime lineup, which includes several new series and new seasons of popular CTV Original shows.

New to the channel this fall is the CTV Original murder mystery competition series The Traitors Canada, airing Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Oct. 2. Hosted by Karine Vanasse (Cardinal), this unscripted series is a Canadian version of a format originally conceived in the Netherlands by production company IDTV, an All3Media company. The Canadian version is produced by Quebec-based Entourage in association with Bell Media.

Other new unscripted series premiering on CTV this fall include celebrity competition series Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, airing Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT beginning Sept. 25, and entrepreneurial game show Snake Oil, hosted and produced by David Spade and executive produced by Will Arnett, airing Wednesdays at 7 p.m. ET/PT starting Sept. 27.

Returning unscripted shows include chef Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, airing Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT. beginning Sept. 25, and The Amazing Race with extended 90-minute episodes, airing Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT beginning Sept. 27.

CTV Original series returning this fall include season 4 of the Canadian Screen Award-winning drama Transplant (Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Oct. 6), season three of comedy series Children Ruin Everything (Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, starting Sept. 27), and new episodes of trivia challenge show Battle of the Generations hosted by Lilly Singh (Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Sept. 26).

CTV News’ award-winning investigative series W5, led by host Avery Haines, returns for season 58 in a new timeslot on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Oct. 6.
