CTS announces panel exploring impact of technology


TORONTO – Organizers of the Canadian Telecom Summit announced today the moderator and participants for the conference’s panel titled The Impact of Technology on Society, Business, Economy, and the Workforce of the Future.

The panel will be moderated by Namir Anani (above), president and CEO of the Information and Communications Technology Council.

Panelists include JC Fahmy, CEO of CENGN, Viet Nquyen, head of government and industry relations at Ericsson, Kris L. Schaffer, chief country lead and business development executive – Canada, at Telstra, Catherine Rosenberg, Canada research chair in future Internet and Cisco research chair in 5G systems at the University of Waterloo and Matt Skynner, COO at VentureLab.

The panelists “will explore the challenges and opportunities offered by this increasingly global and competitive digital-led landscape,” reads a description on the event website.

“The exchange will feature perspectives from key leaders in the space to explore technology trends, business and investment needs, market prospects, and discuss policy measures to accelerate digital adoption, expand markets, attract investments, and shape tomorrow’s workforce among many others.”

The panel will take place Wednesday Nov. 17 from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

The Canadian Telecom Summit is happening as a hybrid event this year with the in-person portion being held at the International Centre in Toronto.
