CTF launches e-newsletter to highlight Canadian TV successes

TORONTO – The Canadian Television Fund (CTF) on Tuesday launched a new monthly e-newsletter, called interacTVity, that celebrates Canadian TV successes.

“This is a time of renaissance and revolution in Canadian screen-based content,” said CTF president Valerie Creighton. “Through interacTVity, we’ll be able to share behind-the-scenes stories about our biggest successes, in terms of both projects and people. InteracTVity will celebrate the national and international achievements of Canadian television programs and the people behind them.”

The first issue includes an interview with White Pine Pictures’ Peter Raymont on Emmys and Oscars, his hit drama The Border, and why documentaries rock on HD. It also includes features on how bilingual broadcaster Teletoon is hunting for Canada’s next top animator and how Quebec’s Sphère Média is producing French and English-language hits, such as Sophie, and selling shows to the world.

Interested readers can sign up to receive the online newsletter on the CTF website.
