HAMILTON – The Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) Canada’s annual board elections are approaching and the marketing organization is reaching out to its members to find individuals who are willing to lead the Canadian chapter in 2009.
CTAM Canada’s board of directors consists of 15 seats. Each new board member will serve a two-year term beginning with our annual planning meeting in the late fall. This year, there will be five vacancies to fill on the board.
In order to be considered as a nominee, you must meet the following criteria:
1. You must be a marketing professional serving the cable television industry in Canada.
2. You must commit to attending board meetings (by phone, in person or by proxy). There are typically about 10 board meetings a year.
3. You must commit to leading or participating on one of the committees, or sit on the board as a member of the executive committee.
If you meet the above criteria and wish to submit your nomination – or if you would like to nominate an industry colleague – send an email to Walter Levitt, chair, nominating committee at wlevitt@canwest.com In your email, please include the following: your name, current company and position, contact information, a short bio – maximum 150 words – including the reasons why you would like to serve as a board member of CTAM Canada.
Nomination emails must be received no later than August 29, 2008.
The nominating committee will contact all candidates and inform them of their eligibility to stand for election. The election process will then be held in September, and all members of CTAM Canada will have the opportunity to vote for the new board.
