CTAM Canada unveils 2014 Board

MONTREAL – CTAM Canada’s newly elected board of directors for 2014 includes a number of familiar names and faces.

The executive committee is:

– Gary Pelletier from Stingray Digital as President;

– Drew Robinson from Shaw Media as Vice-President;

– Jennifer Salmon from CCSA as Secretary; and

– Jeff Taylor from Rogers Communications as Treasurer.

The newly elected 2014 board selected the new chapter executive along with committee chairperson assignments, following the last meeting of the 2013 board on December 10th.

Joining the organization are Valerie Heroux from Videotron, Anne Lavigueur from Cogeco, Lisa Purdy from BBC Kids, Andy Garrett from Eastlink, Leanne Shearer from Bell Media, Maria Hale from Corus, Hawley Chester from Fox, Cassey Tan from LG, Jennifer Salmon and Jeff Taylor.

Returning members serving their second year include Kimberley Perdue from Super Channel, Leslie Fields from AMC, Drew Robinson and Gary Pelletier.  Rogers’ David Purdy remains on the board as Past-President.

Committee Chairs are as follows:

Finance – Jeff Taylor;

Events – Kimberley Perdue and Leanne Shearer;

Events (Quebec) – Valerie Heroux, Anne Lavigueur and Gary Pelletier;

Education – Drew Robinson and Cassey Tan;

Membership – Valerie Heroux;

Marketing/Communications – Leslie Fields, Lisa Purdy, and Andy Garrett;

Research – Maria Hale;

Nominations – Hawley Chester; and

Sponsorship – Anne Lavigueur and David Purdy.

“I am honoured and thrilled to be selected as president of this fantastic new board of directors for CTAM Canada for a 2 year term”, said Gary Pelletier, in the announcement.  “This new board is composed of an ideal cross section of BDU and programmer representation, as well as regional diversity with one member from Vancouver, another from Halifax, one in LA, one in Atlanta and three from Quebec, with the 8 other members based in and around Toronto.”
