CTAM Canada to send a member to Harvard

TORONTO – This June, CTAM Canada will sponsor a chapter member to attend CTAM U at the Harvard Business School.

The Canadian CTAM chapter has become a Corporate Patron of the Executive Management Program at the prestigious university.

The Executive Management Program is for senior executives who are looking to improve their strategic and leadership skills. Participants are immersed in an intensive and intimate week-long learning program. They will study with the top Harvard Business School professors and selected key industry luminaries.

The curriculum is built around detailed case study problems that are used to challenge the minds of the participants. Beginning this year, a CTAM Canada member will be given the opportunity to go to CTAM U. The chapter will pay for the candidate’s tuition, accommodation, meals, books, and materials. The only thing the candidate will be responsible for is travel arrangements to Boston and actively participating in the program.

"The CTAM Canada board is excited to offer its members this great opportunity," said Domenic Vivolo, president, CTAM Canada. "One of CTAM Canada’s key goals is to further enrich and strengthen the marketing knowledge and leadership skills of its members. This Executive Management Program will help us meet this goal and provide great value to our membership."

"In fact, I was fortunate to have attended the 2005 session,” added Vivolo. “The opportunity to learn from the top business professors who are specialists in their field and to share different perspectives with other key executives within the industry is truly beneficial and a privilege."

Each applicant must compose a brief essay on why they are the best candidate, fill out the registration form which can be found here and supply a letter of support from your company.

The deadline is April 14th. The candidate who will be attending this year’s program, which takes place from June 11-16, will be announced on May 8th.

CTAM has 15 local Chapters across the United States, the Caribbean and Europe. In Canada, there is a particularly compelling case for local membership. Given differences between our regulatory, linguistic and program distribution history in Canada, there are many business challenges that can be adequately addressed except by a Canadian organization.
