CRTC to hold landmark public hearing on Northwestel's network modernization plan

OTTAWA-GATINEAU- Northwestel is often the only choice for customers in the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut seeking telecommunications services, but is it the best choice for the future? The CRTC wants residents to weigh in on the issue and has launched a public consultation on the telecommunications services that Northwestel provides to northern Canadians. Following the consultation, a public hearing will be held on June 17, 2013, in Inuvik, Northwest Territories and June 19, 2013, in Whitehorse, Yukon.
