“Crisis” of local TV news to be debated

TORONTO – As a lead up to November’s OTA hearings, the Radio-Television News Director’s Association (RTNDA) is hosting a panel discussion to examine the state of local television news in Canada.TV managers, anchors and reporters will debate the role of local TV and how it can survive in today’s economy where many stations are either going dark or are moving their news programs to new times and experimenting with new formats to try to keep their audiences.The event will be held on September 22 at 6:30 p.m. in Toronto at Ryerson University, 80 Gould Street, Room RCC 204.For more information,...
