CraveTV offers Chromecast capability, signs more distributors

TORONTO – CraveTV is now compatible with Google Chromecast, allowing subscribers to cast the streaming service’s content onto their TVs from iOS and Android apps.

Chromecast, a thumb-sized device, is plugged into HDMI ports on TVs, allowing viewers to seamlessly pause, play, rewind, and fast-forward their favourite CraveTV series from their mobile device, as well from www.CraveTV.ca in the Chrome browser.

"Our goal is to give CraveTV subscribers the ability to view its great programming whenever and wherever they choose," said Domenic Vivolo, Bell Media’s EVP content sales and distribution marketing, in the news release. "By delivering CraveTV through Chromecast onto their televisions, CraveTV becomes even more valuable to its subscribers."

In related news, Bell Media said that SaskTel is now offering CraveTV to its maxTV subscribers, joining NRTC Communications, WTC Communications, and Tbaytel that also recently launched the service.
