Crave to air Présumé Innocent: L’affaire Michelle Perron

MONTREAL — Bell Media announced today Crave will air Présumé Innocent: L’affaire Michelle Perron, an original four-part documentary series about the murder of the wife of Radio-Canada director Gilles Perron, starting Friday, Oct. 8.

In the series, Marie-Claude Savard (above, left) and Sébastien Trudel (right) reopen the investigation into the December 1987 murder for which Gilles Perron was convicted and then later cleared.

“Without ever forgetting the victim of this affair, Marie-Claude, Sébastien and the director Sébastien Trahan carried out this project with great respect,” said Mélanie Bhérer, general manager of variety, lifestyle and documentary for Crave, in an English translation of Bell Media’s press release.

“All the ingredients for a successful series are there: shocking testimonials, twists and turns, new evidence. This documentary series fits perfectly with Crave’s daring offering.”

Présumé Innocent: L’affaire Michelle Perron is produced by Trinome & Filles in collaboration with Bell Media. All four episodes will be available to stream starting Friday.
