MONTREAL — Bell Media’s Crave announced Tuesday it will present selections of movies from this year’s Cinemania French film festival on the streaming service from November 22 to December 6.
Crave’s Festival Cinemania: Spotlight on the Francophonie collection will allow Crave subscribers to watch Flashwood by Jean-Carl Boucher, Mon Chien Stupide by Yvan Attal and L’État Sauvage by David Perrault, all films presented at the 26th edition of the festival this year.
Crave will also present Neegan Trudel’s film Vacarme, following its world premiere at Cinemania. Starring Rosalie Pépin and Sophie Desmarais, the movie tells the story of a young girl abandoned by her mother in a DPJ youth home, who tries to escape her new reality by devoting herself to learning the guitar.
In addition, the Festival Cinemania: Spotlight on the Francophonie collection will include films from previous editions of the Cinemania festival, such as Jeune Juliette by Anne Émond, Antigone by Sophie Deraspe, Sympathie pour le Diable by Guillaume de Fontenay, Portrait de la Jeune Fille en Feu by Céline Sciamma, Donne-moi des Ailes by Nicolas Vanier, Rebelles by Allan Mauduit, Roubaix, Une Lumière by Arnaud Desplechin and La Belle Époque by Nicolas Bedos.
Crave is a partner of the Cinemania festival, which this year is taking place online until November 22.
