Crave announces new series La Drag en Moi

MONTREAL — Bell Media’s Crave announced today a new series, La Drag en Moi, to be hosted by popular Quebec drag queen Rita Baga (above), a runner up in the first season of Canada’s Drag Race.

Scheduled to premiere on Crave in 2022, La Drag en Moi is an adaptation of the TV format of TLC’s Dragnificent!, a press release explains. Crave is the first platform to adapt this series.

Accompanied by two drag friends, Rita Baga “will help a person transform their appearance and reinvent themselves for a special occasion,” reads an English translation of the press release.

“Whether it is for a wedding, a renewal of vows, a graduation party, a reunion or an important anniversary, any occasion will be good to welcome Rita Baga and her friends to feel good about herself and to brighten her life,” the release says.

“It is a pleasure for Crave to find Rita Baga after her inspiring journey in Canada’s Drag Race: Que La Meilleure Gagne (Canada’s Drag Race: Let the Best Win) and Big Brother Célébrités. The concept of La Drag en Moi fits perfectly with Rita’s flamboyant personality and we can’t wait to see her change lives,” says Mélanie Bhérer, general manager of variety, lifestyle and documentary at Bell Media, in the English translation.

La Drag en Moi will consist of 13 half-hour episodes and is produced by Trio Orange in collaboration with Bell Media.

Registration is now open for people who would like to apply for a chance to take part in the show.
