Crave adds new comedy ‘Shrill’, ‘Veronica Mars’ revival

TORONTO – Crave will be the Canadian home for the reboot of U.S. dramedy Veronica Mars and a new comedy known as Shrill.

The Bell Media streamer said that the new Veronica Mars series will debut later this year, as will its three previous seasons which originally aired from 2004 to 2007.

Kristen Bell returns to her role as a private investigator in the eight episode revival which will see her character involved in the investigation of the murders of spring breakers in the fictional town of Neptune, CA. 

Also included in Crave’s deal with deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution is the Hulu comedy series Shrill, starring Aidy Bryant (Saturday Night Live) as Annie (pictured), a fat young woman who wants to change her life, but not her body.

From Lorne Michaels, Elizabeth Banks, Alexandra Rushfield, Lindy West, and series star, co-writer, and co-executive producer Aidy Bryant, all six episodes will arrive on Crave on May 3.
