TORONTO – Crackle’s original series Chosen has kicked off its second season after its first season registered 2.4 million streams in less than 10 weeks in Canada and the U.S.
The second season, which debuted December 12, will consist of six half-hour episodes. It continues the story of Ian Mitchell (Milo Ventimiglia) and his family, but goes deeper into the deadly game the Mitchells were swept into and follows the lives of others who also received mysterious boxes forcing them to kill – or else – including new character Jacob Orr (Chad Michael Murray).
"Chosen confirms our belief that there is a strong appetite for compelling, high-quality original series in the digital space," said Eric Berger, EVP of digital networks for Sony Pictures Television, in the news release. "Whether it was online, on mobile or through a connected TV device, our audience spent a significant amount of time with the show, following it through to its conclusion. We are excited to premiere the second season."
A unit of Sony Pictures Television, Crackle is ad supported and free to consumers across all platforms, with no subscription or authentication required.
