CPAC to air BBC documentary Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen

OTTAWA – Cable Public Affairs Channel (CPAC) announced today it will air the BBC documentary Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen on June 5 at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen, already critically acclaimed worldwide, features previously unseen footage from the Queen’s personal video archive, dating back to the 1920s. The Queen herself narrates the film,” a press release says.

The documentary provides footage from the Royal Family’s home videos, taken over the course of many decades, which was locked up until now in a secure vault at the British Film Institute.

“From a playful and carefree little princess frolicking in the water and dancing around the family corgis with her sister Margaret, to intimate footage of the Queen’s loving relationship with her father, King George VI, to the view from indoors as newlyweds Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip waved to adoring crowds from the balcony of Buckingham Palace, Canadians will get a unique view of history this weekend.”
