TORONTO – The Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario has renewed its sponsorship in support of TVO’s flagship current affairs program The Agenda with Steve Paikin.
This marks the ninth consecutive year of sponsorship by CPA Ontario. As TVO is not fully funded by the province, the financial support that it receives from donors and corporate sponsors is critical to building a sustainable financial model and keeping TVO on air and online, the provincial broadcaster said.
"We're pleased to have the generous financial support of the CPA Ontario for the ninth consecutive year," said TVO CEO Lisa de Wilde, in the news release. "High quality journalism plays a key role in building strong democracies. This long-standing sponsorship confirms the unique value The Agenda with Steve Paikin brings to citizens by building a digital public space focused on Ontario-perspective, in-depth current affairs."
"We are pleased to announce our continued financial support of The Agenda with Steve Paikin," added Carol Wilding, FCPA, FCA, President and CEO of CPA Ontario. "The Agenda attracts a highly influential audience of business and thought leaders on air and online. CPA Ontario is proud to be associated with The Agenda."
