Corus’s Global announces winter 2025 primetime lineup


Corus Entertainment on Monday announced Global’s winter 2025 programming lineup featuring two new drama series, a reimagined Hollywood Squares, and a new season of Global original Family Law alongside other returning hit dramas and comedies.

Premiering Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Global, new medical drama Doc stars Canadian actress Molly Parker as Dr. Amy Larsen, “a brilliant Chief of Internal Medicine whose life changes drastically after a brain injury erases the last eight years of her memory,” reads a description in a Global press release. Inspired by a true story, this “life-affirming medical procedural” also stars Omar Metwally, Amirah Vann, Jon Ecker and Anya Banerjee, with Scott Wolf and Patrick Walker featured in recurring roles.

Debuting Sunday, Jan. 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, the new modern Sherlock Holmes medical mystery series Watson stars Morris Chestnut in the lead role of Dr. John Watson and takes place six months after the death of his friend and partner Holmes at the hands of Moriarty. Resuming his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders, Watson turns his attention from solving crimes to solving medical mysteries, the press release explains. Other cast members include Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Ritchie Coster, Inga Schlingmann and Rochelle Aytes.

Season three of Canadian legal drama Family Law will premiere Sunday, Jan. 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The series is produced by SEVEN24 Films and Lark Productions, and created by Canadian award-winning author Susin Nielsen. The new season once again finds Abby (played by Jewel Staite) and her family helping their clients navigate cases with big emotional stakes. Other returning members of the ensemble cast include Victor Garber, Zach Smadu, Genelle Williams and Lauren Holly.

Celebrity talk show hosts Drew Barrymore and Nate Burleson star in the rebooted classic game show Hollywood Squares, debuting Thursday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by Burleson and featuring Barrymore as the centre square, celebrity guests including Tyra Banks, Julie Bowen and RuPaul will join contestants in this star-studded take on tic-tac-toe.

Game shows returning to Global’s midseason lineup include season two of Raid the Cage, hosted by Damon Wayans Jr. alongside co-host Jeannie Mai, premiering Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Season three of The Floor, hosted by Rob Lowe, will debut Sunday, March 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The long-running reality series Survivor returns for its 48th season with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Following the premiere, the new season will continue with 90-minute episodes each week.

Drama series returning to Global this winter include NCIS (Monday, Jan. 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT), NCIS Origins (Jan. 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT), FBI (Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT), FBI: Most Wanted (Jan. 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT), Matlock (Thursday, Jan. 30 at 9 p.m. ET/PT), Elsbeth (Jan. 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT), NCIS: Sydney (Friday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. ET/PT), Fire Country (Jan. 31 at 9 p.m. ET/PT), S.W.A.T. (Jan. 31 at 10 p.m. ET/PT), The Equalizer (week of Feb. 17), and 9-1-1 (Thursday, March 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT).

Global’s comedy lineup will include the broadcast of a Saturday Night Live primetime special on Sunday, Feb. 16 in celebration of the late night show’s 50th season. Comedy series returning to Global include Abbott Elementary (Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT), The Neighborhood (Monday, Jan. 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT), Poppa’s House (Jan. 27 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT), and Ghosts (Thursday, Jan. 30 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT).

In addition, true crime series Crime Beat returns Sunday, Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. ET/PT, and the special Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials will air on Global on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
