Corus unveils fall lineup for YTV, Treehouse and Teletoon

YTV’s new series Ride premieres September 5

TORONTO — The fall season of kids shows on Corus Entertainment networks was announced Thursday, with new series and new seasons of popular shows on YTV, Treehouse and Teletoon set to premiere on September 5.

To kick off the launch of its brand new series Ride, YTV is making available a multiplatform digital release of a full episode of the show on YTVGo, YTV.com, Facebook and YouTube. Ride tells the story of a girl and her Dad who move to England for his new job at an elite equestrian boarding school (cast pictured in photo on right). The 20-episode series will make its full season debut on Monday, September 5 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on YTV.

Corus revealed details of its fall season of kids shows in a news release on Thursday. Other new series premiering in September include Tricked and The Loud House on YTV, and Nelvana’s Ranger Rob on Treehouse.

YTV is kicking off the school year with its “Everything is Awesome Day” special programming on Monday, September 5, starting with a sneak peek of the new Nickelodeon hit, The Loud House at 4 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the network debut of The Lego Movie at 4:30 p.m. ET/PT. Galloping in to the evening are the world premieres of the two new Canadian original series, Ride and Tricked, airing at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. ET/PT, respectively. Tricked is a half-hour series that uses hidden camera setups and surprise stunts to take street magic to the next level, Corus said in its news release.

The new Nelvana series Ranger Bob makes its world debut on Treehouse on Monday, September 5 at 6:25 p.m. ET/PT. Corus describes the title character of Ranger Rob as “an adventurous hero whose love of the outdoors inspires kids to explore and discover their surroundings as they follow him on his adventures in his own backyard.” Ranger Rob joins Treehouse’s fan-favourite roster of shows including Octonauts, Peppa Pig, and Trucktown.

Teletoon’s fall season soars into action, also on Monday, September 5, with a lineup of super series beginning with a daily power hour of Teen Titans Go! and Powerpuff Girls airing back-to-back episodes weekdays from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET/PT. Teletoon’s schedule also features a Superfan Friday programming block with new episodes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers Dino Super Charge and Avengers Assemble every Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET/PT. The network’s weekend morning cartoon lineup (airing from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET/PT) includes hit shows like Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks, Wabbit and Lego Nexo Knights.
