TORONTO – Corus is bringing the first 24-hour Adult Swim channel to Canada where it will debut April 1st as a rebrand of the broadcaster’s Action service.

Adult Swim in Canada will mirror the programming and brand voice of the Turner-owned U.S. channel, says Monday’s announcement, launching with popular series including original fare Rick and Morty (pictured), Robot Chicken, Tim & Eric's Bedtime Stories, and The Eric Andre Show, as well as acquisitions like Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, and American Dad.  In addition, new series like Lazor Wulf will debut day and date with the U.S. service.

Adult Swim programming has been airing on the Cartoon Network and in the Teletoon at Night programming block on Teletoon, but those channels will switch to solely family-friendly content next month.

"We're thrilled to bring the unique Adult Swim experience to viewers in Canada," said Corus’ SVP of TV networks Daniel Eves, in the news release. "Building on the existing popularity of Adult Swim content, a 24/7 Adult Swim channel underscores Corus' dedication to delivering content that audiences crave. Adult Swim rounds out our specialty portfolio with its one-of-a-kind programming, and strengthens Corus' presence as the leader in specialty entertainment in Canada."

Adult Swim will be available for a two-month free preview from April 1 to May 31, 2019, and viewers may also catch full episodes On Demand free through January 2020.
