Corus shuts down TV listings service

CALGARY - Corus Entertainment has pulled the plug on its Corus Custom Networks (CCN) which operates a TV listings advertising service, the company said Tuesday.“As the broadcast industry transitions to a fully digital environment, the operation of CCN’s analog TV listings service is no longer a viable business,” said Doug Murphy, EVP and president of television for Corus, in a brief statement. “The introduction of digital electronic guides has diminished the need for CCN’s product offerings and as a result, CCN is closing its operations as of August 31.”www.corusent.com
