Corus rebrands two Ontario stations under Global News; announces new weekend anchor

TORONTO – Corus’ local news affiliates Peterborough’s CHEX and Kingston’s CKWS have been rebranded to Global Peterborough and Global Kingston respectively, formally bringing them under the Global News umbrella.Corus said that the long-standing brands of CHEX and CKWS will not completely disappear, as Global Peterborough newscasts will be named CHEX News on Global Peterborough, with Global Kingston newscasts operating under the name CKWS News on Global Kingston.Both stations will continue to show daily newscasts at noon, 6 PM and 11 PM along with their existing morning shows.
