TORONTO – Corus’ Nelvana Enterprises is expanding its digital offerings this year with new apps, websites and e-books around the likes of Franklin the Turtle, bunny siblings Max and Ruby, and worrywart Scaredy Squirrel.
Three more Franklin the Turtle apps are slated for release this year, and the second Max & Ruby app is in production for release this summer. A Scaredy Squirrel game app based on Mélanie Watt’s book series is now available, and a game app based on the TV series is set for release this fall.
In addition, the company’s publishing arm Kids Can Press has rolled out an active e-publishing program with a selection of full-colour, illustrated read-along audio and interactive e-books of its bestselling brands.
“We are extremely proud of our expanding digital portfolio and our in-house creative and production team, and understand the importance of reaching our audiences at various touch points, ensuring that they have the most engaging and rewarding experience with our brands,” said Nelvana’s managing director Colin Bohm, in Wednesday’s announcement.
