
TORONTO – Victor Giacomelli, vice-president, sales, Corus Radio, has added director of sales, Corus Radio Toronto, to his responsibilities, effective immediately.
“Victor was the obvious choice to oversee the sales division at our Toronto cluster,” said John Hayes, president, Corus Radio, in a press release.
“Victor’s strong management skills and extensive sales experience in the Toronto cluster has given him the expertise to lead the Toronto sales team in his new expanded role,” added Chris Sisam, general manager, Corus Radio Toronto. “He is very familiar with the Toronto operations given his previous responsibilities.”
Giacomelli (pictured) has been with Corus since its inception in 1999. Originally retail sales supervisor at CHML and Y95, when the stations were acquired by Corus, he later became the retail sales manager for Corus Radio Hamilton. Giacomelli moved to Toronto in 2002 as general sales manager at 102.1 the Edge, before taking on expanded duties for the entire cluster. Since January 2007, he has been vice-president, sales, overseeing Corus Radio’s sales activities nationwide.
Giacomelli serves as a board member of Canadian Broadcast Sales and is a director of the Radio Marketing Bureau, too.
