Corus’ Q107 and morning show host John Derringer part ways

TORONTO ROCK STATION Q107 tweeted this morning the Corus Entertainment-owned station and its long-time morning host John Derringer “have agreed to part ways, effective today.” Derringer is the subject of a complaint by former Corus employee Jennifer Valentyne, who alleged she suffered workplace harassment while working on Q107’s Derringer in the Morning show. In May, Valentyne made public she had registered a complaint with the Canadian Human Rights Commission, alleging gender discrimination, after which Corus put the morning show on hiatus pending an investigation. Q107’s tweet today says, “Plans for the show will be forthcoming” and indicates Corus’ independent investigation...
