Corus pulls plug on Dusk

TORONTO – Corus Entertainment has killed off its Dusk channel, making room for its new family-oriented channel ABC Spark. In a notice on the channel's website, Corus said that “it was the right time to make some strategic changes to our portfolio”, and that the channel would no longer be available after March 23, 2012.  Dusk, which aired suspense and supernatural-based movies, was itself a rebrand of Corus’ Scream scary flick channel. “We believe that concentrating on our areas of expertise and re-focusing our channel selection is the most effective way to service our core audiences”, the notice continues.  “Our channels will...
