TORONTO — Toronto radio personality ‘Fearless’ Fred Kennedy is now hosting a brand-new podcast from Corus Entertainment that is dedicated to all things comics, superheroes, fantasy and sci-fi.

Launching today on Corus’s Curiouscast podcast network, the new Issue Zero podcast’s debut coincides with the release of the first-ever Star Wars live-action TV show, The Mandalorian, (streaming now on Disney+) and will offer a deep dive on the Mandalorians and their history.

‘Fearless’ Fred (pictured) is currently the afternoon drive host for Toronto rock station Q107, and is a passionate comic book creator and collector. He was the long-time host of Teletoon’s beloved Teletoon at Night content block (a predecessor to content now seen on Adult Swim), and he has covered San Diego Comic-Con and Fan Expo Toronto many times.

On Issue Zero, ‘Fearless’ Fred will take listeners on a fandom journey via deep dives, anecdotes and interviews with creators and stars. “Seriously. It’s really good, you guys,” said host ‘Fearless’ Fred in a news release.

“There is simply no denying the power of superhero and sci-fi fan culture,” said Chris ‘Dunner’ Duncombe, director of streaming and podcasting for Corus Entertainment, in the news release. “Issue Zero takes you inside the characters, movies and stories we all love from Star Wars, to the Avengers, to Lord of the Rings and back. We at Curiouscast are so excited for people to hear this new show.”

Two episodes of Issue Zero are available now, with new episodes of the podcast to be released every two weeks. Each episode of Issue Zero will be available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify and other major podcast platforms. For more information, visit Curiouscast.ca.
