
TORONTO – To celebrate the spirit of the holidays all 37 of Corus radio stations across Canada will premiere Taking Care of Christmas, a remake of Randy Bachman's hit Takin' Care of Business, on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 7:10 a.m. Recorded by Bachman and accompanied by recording artist Beverley Mahood, Taking Care of Christmas will be distributed by Sony Music Entertainment Canada and is available for purchase on iTunes with net proceeds going to Corus Feeds Kids.
Taking Care of Christmas will also be showcased on CMT's second annual television special, Gift of Giving 2012, on Saturday, December 15 at 7 p.m. ET. This special was taped in front of a live studio audience and features musical artists Randy Bachman, Beverley Mahood, The Trews, The Stellas with Lennon & Maisy and YTV's The Next Star winner Brooklyn Roebuck (Season 5). The performers bring a blend of traditional and original Christmas themed songs and between performances each artist introduces one outstanding Canadian who has made a difference in the lives of hungry children in Canada. Each introduction is followed by a documentary style vignette that highlights the individual's inspiring story.
Since launching the Corus Feeds Kids campaign, Corus has been raising awareness and funds for the initiative with a comprehensive campaign supported by its national TV brands, radio services and online assets as well as special events, talent participation and social media activities.

Taking Care of Christmas premieres across all Corus Radio stations on Tuesday, November 27 at 7:10 a.m. Gift of Giving 2012 airs Saturday, December 15 at 7 p.m. ET on CMT (Canada) with repeat airings throughout December on the network, YTV, ABC Spark and OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network (Canada).
