Corus and Sunlight team up for yard makeover


TORONTO – Beginning today, Corus Television partners with Unilever’s Sunlight Multi-Action for a campaign to make over some Canadian family’s outdoor space.

Launching on YTV and W Network, the campaign (based on the theme that every grass stain tells a story) concludes in June with the announcement of the winning family or community group that will be awarded with a $25,000 transformation. The winner’s hometown will also be featured on YTV and W Network, allowing viewers at home to see the winning space.

A 30-second on-air spot (Click here to see it) on YTV and W Network will solicit stories from viewers on why their space is in need of a makeover. From these entries, four semi-finalists will be selected from across Canada.

Three 10-second tips have also been created, for air on both YTV and W Network and also on www.wnetwork.com and www.YTV.com on expandable leader-boards and will link to www.sunlightlaundry.ca.

Phase two launches Monday, May 7, and runs for two weeks. W Network and YTV will feature four 30-second profiles of the four semi-finalists to give viewers the opportunity to vote online for the outdoor space they feel is most deserving. In addition, YTV’s ZAPX will air a 45-second spot that will profile the semi-finalists.

Then, on June 18, the third phase will see a 60-second vignette on W Network and YTV that features the grand prize winner. YTV’s host Simon from ZAPX will accompany a camera crew to the grand prize winner’s hometown to be one of the first to get a grass stain in the new outdoor space and revealing the before and after transformation to viewers at home.
