OTTAWA – The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology is inviting lawyers and legal scholars to testify in phase three of its statutorily mandated review of the Copyright Act.
The Committee said in a press release that phase three will begin in late November. Those wishing to appear must submit a request before November 10 and explain in 100 words what they would like to discuss during their appearance.
Noting that it may not be able to hear all stakeholders wishing to appear, the Committee encouraged individuals and organizations interested in the review of the Act to submit a brief prior to December 10.
Briefs must not exceed 2,000 words and may be sent by using the button provided for this purpose. More information on how to prepare a submission is available in the Guide for Submitting Briefs to House of Commons Committees
