TORONTO – CTVglobemedia’s Lesley Conway-Kelley took over as the new chair of the Radio Marketing Bureau this week.
Conway-Kelley of CTV’s CHUM Radio Sales is the first female chair in the history of the RMB “and her appointment comes at an exciting time for Radio as the industry gets ready for a new era of electronic measurement with the advent of Personal People Meters (PPM) next September,” says the RMB release.
“The RMB is a vital resource of industry information not only for member stations but also for advertisers and agencies,” said Conway-Kelley, “and with the implementation of PPM we will have a new tool to further demonstrate radio’s efficiency and effectiveness in the marketplace.”
“I take over as chair of the RMB at a time when it has record membership levels as a result of the launch of it’s new information hub web site rmb.ca,” she said. “Gary Belgrave, president of the RMB, and his team are focused on the exciting challenges ahead and I’m delighted to be working with them to support the entire radio industry in Canada.”
She takes over the chair of this industry association from Patrick Grierson of Canadian Broadcast Sales, who remains on the RMB Board as Past Chair.
