TORONTO – Organizers of the 2016 Canadian ISP Summit have issued a call for speakers and content for this year’s event, scheduled for November 7 – 9, 2016 at the Toronto Hilton in Toronto.

This year’s theme is ‘Navigating Change’, as understanding change requires reflecting on the past with eyes wide open for the challenges ahead.  The event aspires to identify and explore aspects of change in the industry and innovative solutions to the challenges they present, and will include ideas related to taking advantage of new opportunities, focusing investments, and dealing with a changing service provider landscape.

Topics may touch on some or all of the following areas relating to change:

– Technology: Changes on the doorstep / Internet of Things / household trends / software defined networking;

– Work force: Hiring practices / leadership challenges / diverse workforce / growing pains;

– Marketplace: Increasing number of ISPs / competitive behaviour / zero rating / customer service; and

– Consumer: Shifting demands / changing usage patterns / moving beyond download speeds / millennial expectations.

More information, including the submission form, is available here.  All proposals must be submitted prior to July 1, 2016.

Presented by the Canadian Network Operator’s Consortium (CNOC), the annual event attracts executives from both the independent ISP and carrier markets, drawing a mix of approximately 350 executive and technical attendees.
