TORONTO – Comwave is going head-to-head with Skype after launching a new app for smart phones and tablets called ePhone. The telco said that its VoIP app bridges the gap between smart phone, computer, and landline phone users by allowing all of them to communicate for free, regardless if they have ePhone or not, by including a real telephone number that allows them to receive an incoming call from around the world. ePhone is free to try on Android Play (formally Android Market) and costs $30 per year after the trial.
