MISSISSAUGA – VOIP provider Vonage Canada announced today that its wares will be sold in stores and on-line by Montreal-based retailer Compusmart.
Vonage is the leading third-party voice over Internet protocol provider in North America. All consumers need is a ready high speed Internet connection, the Vonage gear, and they’re ready for cheap VOIP phone calling.
"The retail agreement between Vonage Canada and CompuSmart is a relationship between two industry leaders and brings us closer to our goal of making the Vonage service available to as many Canadians as possible," said Joe Parent, vice president of marketing and business development for Vonage Canada in a press release.
Compusmart has 35 stores across the country.
"The Vonage Canada service enhances our existing product roster and matches up well with our customer’s primary need: innovative technology that saves them time and money,” said Jeffrey Hart, CompuSmart’s president, in the release.
Vonage is now available at more than 1,030 retail outlets across Canada, the widest distribution of any provider of Internet phone service, said Parent.
