EXTON, PA – Organizers of SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2013 announced Thursday that Comcast Cable chief network officer and EVP John Schanz will be joined by four of the cable industry’s leading technology and operations professionals for a discussion of network operations as part of the opening session of SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2013 in October.
Schanz will moderate a wide-ranging discussion of technology and operations issues. Panellists include: Yvette Kanouff, EVP, corporate engineering and technology, Cablevision Systems Corporation; Guy McCormick, vice-president, engineering, Cox Communications; Matthew Stanek, senior vice-president of core, regional, metro and network operations, Time Warner Cable; and Marwan Fawaz, partner with Sarepta Advisors.
The opening general session, which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on October 22, will provide insights about engineering and operational issues affecting the industry, including the elements needed to ensure fast and seamless service rollouts, the ability of technology to enhance the customer experience, and the steps that cable engineers need to take today to prepare for the technologies of tomorrow.
