MONTREAL – Cogeco Connexion has completed its new free wireless Internet network across St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, ON.
With over 360 hotspots, Cogeco said that the network was largely built by leveraging its business customers, and covers locations such as retail shops, restaurants and professional services offices alongside high-traffic streets like Welland Avenue, St. Paul Street and Hartzel Road in St. Catharines, as well as Victoria Avenue, Lundy’s Lane and Drummond Road in Niagara Falls.
Cogeco high-speed Internet customers can connect for free to a Cogeco hotspot with any Wi-Fi-enabled device by signing-in with their “My Account” credentials. After signing-in once, their device will automatically be connected to the Cogeco Wi-Fi network when in the vicinity of a hotspot. Non-customers can log-in as guests for a free trial of the service.
“Today’s consumers want to stay constantly connected to their world, at home and on the go, and they are looking for a reliable Wi-Fi experience,” said marketing and innovation VP Daniel Boisvert, in the news release. “As such, we are very proud to have implemented the most significant public Wi-Fi network in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, and to offer unlimited access to our Cogeco Internet clients outside their home, while they are shopping or strolling in those various hotspot zones.”
