TORONTO and LONDON, UK – Cogeco Peer 1 is teaming up with data analytics firm Brytlyt to offer its Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) database and analytics platform to help streamline enterprise data analytics.

The partnership is set to drive a joint commitment to innovation for companies looking to harvest business growth from the latest developments in GPU database and analytics software while simultaneously requiring a level of access and support, which bigger cloud providers do not offer.

Brytlyt and Cogeco Peer 1 are working together to address the core business needs that are driving the adoption of GPU powered insights, while optimising how the hardware and infrastructure is configured to seamlessly integrate with existing investments, reads the news release.

Cogeco Peer 1 VP and GM Susan Bowen said that one of the main reasons for the partnership is Brytlyt’s ability to use GPU database and analytics to accelerate data insight using its patent pending IP that has been folded in with PostgreSQL.

“IT teams that have varied data sources, some of which run on old legacy systems, need a product that can integrate this with a GPU database. This is what Brytlyt is offering”, she said in the release.  “Our customers can benefit from huge performance gains out of the box, and also the ability to scale GPU resources up or down as needed. This is now available on Cogeco Peer 1’s cloud platform, so any organisation can now exploit the benefits of parallel processing.”
