TORONTO – Cogeco Cable has launched Family On Demand, announced Family Channel’s owner, Astral Media, today.
The new service will offer a minimum of 30 hours of programming from Disney, including Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, together with popular Canadian series such as Life With Derek and Naturally, Sadie. Family On Demand will also offer entertaining and educational programming from Playhouse Disney.
The titles offered on Family On Demand will be offered to Family Channel digital subscribers at no additional cost so kids can watch their favourite shows as often as they choose.
"Viewing habits and viewer expectations have changed, especially among kids and tweens. This service reflects this change incorporating our best programming with the power of on-demand technology," said Joe Tedesco, vice-president and general manager, Family Channel and Playhouse Disney. "One of the key advantages to this service is that we have on-demand rights for all of our viewers’ current favourites. So whether it’s Hannah Montana and Cory In The House or Little Einsteins and Handy Manny, kids of all ages will now be able to find what they want when they want on Family On Demand."
FOD offers a minimum of 30 hours of programming, refreshed weekly, featuring the titles mentioned above.
