
TORONTO — Canadian Music Week announced Tuesday it is updating its radio and audio awards program with new categories along with a new nominating, voting and adjudication system. The awards luncheon will take place on Wednesday, May 20 in the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel during CMW’s Radio Active Summit.
Celebrating and recognizing the top achievements in Canadian radio and audio over the past year, the Radio & Audio Awards will be hosted by Adam Growe, comedian, licensed Toronto cab driver and the host of Cash Cab.
The new categories added to this year’s Radio & Audio Awards include Community and Public Service Campaign, Excellence in Commercial Creative and Production, Multicultural/Indigenous/Special Interest Station of the Year and Canadian Podcast of the Year.

The Canadian Radio & Audio Awards luncheon complements CMW’s annual Music and Broadcast Industry Gala taking place on Thursday, May 21 at the Bluma Appel Theatre, where the radio and music industry will gather to celebrate this year’s Hall of Fame inductees.
